Belt Conveyor for the grain transport

The aim of this thesis was to design a horizontal belt conveyor on the conveying capacity Q=30 000 kgh^(-1) and dunes axial length L = 25 m. Transported material is a grain of maximum humidity of 14%. Functional calculation is performed according to ISO 5048, which sets out the main dimensions and design of the drive. The individual drive components are selected from the catalog part of individual firms.

This bachelor’s project treats about construction of horizontal belt conveyor for metal sawdust transportation from producing machine to 5 meters distance. There is functional calculation which contains belt width determination, conveyor resist, tensile stress in the belt, tension forces and engine performance. There is also done conveyor main proportions and engine design and stress control of tension drum.

The main aim of the bachelor the sis was to propose a horizontal belt conveyor with a transport output 80 tonnes per hour. The transported material is sand and gravel. Functional calculation is carried out ČSN ISO 5048 which specifies main dimensions and proposal of propulsion. The shaft of tension drum is object of the strenght calculations. The conveyor is easily transportable and demountable. That means, it is also acceptable for middle and smaller functioning. Individual components of conveyor are chosen from catalogues of contemporary companies.
